The breakfast had a wide array of selection, the food was freshly made. Spacious units with toiletries, TV and the garden, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The location of the hotel was central, adjacent to the horizon, Shanklin's esplanade...

The tea served in the beautifully landscaped garden, overlooking the sea, was a highlight of our stay. The warmth of Bob and Ann made us feel like cherished friends rather than just guests.

A Perfect Getaway by the Sea!
My recent solo escape was rejuvenating! The fine sea views from the lovely patio provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. I adored the garden ambience and enjoyed fresh crab for lunch, divine! Don't miss the chance to stroll to the nearby beach. It's only 30 seconds away!

Ideal getaway for a solo traveler
The view from the tea deck was fine, I could just sit there all day and forget the world. Plus, the breakfast? Great-quick service and plenty of options to choose from.
Felt a bit pricey for a solo trip but wasn't outrageous.

The room boasted a large private bathroom. Enjoying a delicious vegetarian breakfast added to the overall experience, and the beautiful garden offered excellent sea views that enhanced our stay. The absence of lunch options was a drawback, as it limited afternoon dining choices. While we appreciated the dedicated staff, the room lacked some expected amenities for a more comfortable visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Carlton in Shanklin. The amazing sea views and beautifully tended gardens provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation, especially during breakfast. Minor issues, such as limited toiletries, didn’t detract from the overall experience or the wonderfully cute staff. I'll be back!
